Interested, not to be negative Nelly….but when will it start to slide and how far do you think it’ll go down before it starts back up?

Much of that will depend upon what the Fed decides to do with reserves and when they decide to do it.

The 5 seed might end up being a better place than the 1 seed. Right now, the 5 seed would play #12 Arizona State then #4 Boise State. While the #1 seed would have to play Georgia/Tennessee winner. I know that teams will move around, but locking conference champs into certain seeds makes the seeding process entirely different.

From an outsider…DTR isn’t the answer but his Daniels like characteristics are appealing. 

From my view the Browns feel like the Reds. Stefanski is Bell and so many things need “cleaned up”

They don’t even think about running, line isn’t good, defensive injuries and I just don’t know what happened to Watson but he’s been a shell of his former self

As far as the running game, whoever thought that our current group are all better than Kareem Hunt should be fired.

— Saints and Buccaneers drop. Both out of the top 10?

— Vikings top 5? Steelers too?

— Bears are bad. Colts barely better.

— Chargers are pretenders 

— Sometimes the Browns look like an #8-10 team, sometimes they look like 25. Today was the latter. 

If the Browns look like an #8-10 when you watch them, can I please have some of whatever you are drinking during the games? :)

My hope would be that they were letting him stay in the game so he would really get his ass kicked so we could get his ass kicked out of here.  

We built the Texans into division champs with all of the draft picks that we gave them.

Giving the starters the preseason off was a horrible decision. We can't even line up correctly. 

They never tried to establish the run or at least the threat of the run. On the first play of the game Ford had 3 or 4 yards. It was a long time before he had another carry.

I think that I will like the 12 team playoff, but it sure takes away the part of college football where you have to win every week or your season is most likely over.

Did he try to be powerful or was he always leadoff or 2nd and job was to get on base and score runs? I agree he’s too high on many peoples thoughts due to incredible longevity and counting stats….but I also believe some of the older guys get denoted a bit based on all the ways the game is played today and what’s important now.

I believe when Rose played it was play 162 games as hard as you could….now it’s 155 with 7 scheduled days off. Hell Votto is more revered by many new age because he got on base at a great rate….Pete actually scored. Teams would easily pitch around Votto to let him and his terrible baserunning skills stand on 1st….especially with 2 outs. 

Pete was an all-star at 4-5 positions and played everyday, scored 2165 runs and had a hit total that doesn’t even make sense. If not for gambling we don’t have to call him the greatest but he’s without a doubt being honored as one of them every time it happens.

For the first part of Pete's career, the mound was significantly higher, which gave the pitchers an advantage. He still put up great stats. He's not the greatest, but I think that he gets underappreciated at times. If he played a couple of decades later, his homerun numbers would have been better because the ballparks became smaller. For the first decade of his career, many of the old ballparks with the huge outfields were still being used.

Social media pushing Rickey Henderson….I LOVE Rickey, but he’s not it. Wasn’t a great hitter, average fielder. GOAT leadoff hitter and baserunner 

He's not even the greatest living outfielder. Bonds and Griffey were better.

Koufax is interesting because he lead the league in ERA his final 5 seasons.  Chronic elbow pain forced his retirement at age 30. Insane inning totals, strikeouts, wins etc

I wonder if you switch their career timelines what happens?

Pedro himself after about age 31-32 wasn’t the Pedro we knew but he transformed himself and adapted as needed to pitch several more years.

Both are the upper echelon talent/production guys, Pedro a bit more longevity…but can’t really diss either of these guys.

Been cool to see Nolan Ryan not on sub par teams for a quarter of a century. Lead the league in ERA and strikeouts and go 8-16. Always wondered if he stayed with the Mets for 5 years then went to Yankees instead of Angels…then the Dodgers instead of the Astros…then the A’s or Blue Jays instead of the Rangers.

I'll take Maddux over either of them, and I'll take Clemens if we are ignoring steroids.

It sounds like your company offers both traditional 401k and Roth 401k. I switched over to Roth when my employer added it as an option.

Halfway thru 3rd qtr against the Rams the Lions were clear down to the Rams 29, bad play call back to 34, sack back to 40, short pass for about 3 yards. Badgley makes an outdoor 54 yard FG (the longest of the postseason so far) to give Lions 24-17 lead

Lions win 24-23…..are the Lions advancing beyond the wildcard round if Badgley misses?

Weren't a lot of the players and staff fed up with him? It had seemed like he had run his course there which is a shame for Cleveland because he seems to be doing very well elsewhere. Cleveland meanwhile has committed to this window thats quickly running out and they did worse than Houston and Tampa this year which no one would have guessed at the beginning of the season. 

OBJ's dad was fighting with Baker. I don't think that Baker is a great QB, but he is having a very good season. 

Baker now has as many playoff wins as Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson combined.

Hopefully they can hit the Steelers with a lot of snowballs. 

One of the worst things about this loss is that we gave Houston the picks that they traded to move up and get Stroud. To top it off, they get our first round pick again.

I don't know.  They gave up A LOT in money and picks for Watson.  Window probably starts closing for them after next year.  Mortgaged the farm for Watson because they thought QB was the missing piece.

Right now, CLE sits at 27th with negative $14M in cap space.  Basically to improve their roster they have to hit homeruns with their R2 and R3 draft picks.

I agree with you that the Watson trade put the franchise in a bad spot, not only are we in a salary cap mess, we don't have first round picks heading into years 1, 2, and 3 of their rookie deals (the years where you often maximize value vs. salary cap expense). I imagine that they will cut some veterans or try to renegotiate some deals to improve the cap number (or at least kick that can down the road).
